County Board postpones Stroger decision

AP— Members of the Cook County Board said Tuesday they would wait until July to learn the political fate of President John Stroger, who hasn't been seen or heard from publicly since suffering a stroke three months ago.
The political rhetoric has heated up as time has passed with little information provided about Stroger's condition and potential replacements jockeying for his job.

"July is just around the corner," said Commissioner Bobbie Steele, who has expressed interest in replacing Stroger should he choose to step aside. "We waited this long." More
